Follow Up: Centenarian Vet Get 70,000 Valentine’s Cards

We recently told you aboutMajor Bill,” a 104-year-old Marine veteran who wanted Valentine’s Day cards from people all over to add to his collection of memories. Well, we’re happy to update this story and tell you William White’swish was granted and he received 70-thousand cards, letters, and well wishes from all over the world.

The World War II vet’s “Operation Valentine” campaign crushed its goal of 100 cards and the mountain of mail Major Bill has received is from folks in every state and a few foreign countries, too.
